EnerVectum Supports Varis FlexHub 01 as System Integrator and Smart-Control Partner

Commercial building pilot for integrated energy flexibility with PV, battery storage, thermal storage, EV charging and future optimization.

EnerVectum AB is supporting Greenco Tech AB in the Varis FlexHub 01 pilot pathway in Gothenburg, with a focus on system integration, smart control and site-level optimisation.

The project is coordinated by Greenco Tech AB in collaboration with Varis Förvaltning, and is designed to explore how Greenco-developed thermal energy storage can be integrated with solar PV, battery storage, EV charging readiness, building systems and intelligent control in a real commercial-building environment.

EnerVectum’s role is to support Greenco Tech in connecting the physical energy assets with site-level data, control logic and optimisation models. The aim is to help the system communicate as one coordinated energy platform, creating practical value for the property owner through improved energy performance, reduced peak exposure and future flexibility potential.

Varis Förvaltning plays a central role as the real-estate pilot partner. By contributing a real building environment, operational needs, site access and practical testing conditions, Varis helps create the real-world validation needed to turn energy-flexibility concepts into repeatable customer solutions.

Turning site assets into flexibility value

Many commercial buildings already contain valuable energy assets, such as rooftop solar PV, heating systems, electrical infrastructure, parking areas and future EV charging needs. The challenge is that these assets are often not coordinated as one flexible energy system.

EnerVectum supports the integration and smart-control layer needed to connect these assets. This includes understanding how thermal storage can interact with batteries, solar PV, EV charging, building systems and operational data to improve performance and prepare the site for future energy-flexibility opportunities.

For the Varis FlexHub 01 pathway, the aim is not only to test individual components. The broader goal is to learn how a commercial building can become a more flexible, resilient and customer-oriented energy node, where heat, electricity and control are coordinated around measurable site value.

A practical pathway for commercial-building flexibility

The project supports EnerVectum’s broader mission to develop integrated energy flexibility solutions for buildings, light industry and local energy systems. By supporting the integration of Greenco-developed thermal storage with mature energy assets and smart orchestration, EnerVectum aims to help customers increase renewable self-use, reduce operational risk and improve the business case for electrification.

The learning from Varis FlexHub 01 will help shape future pilot models, control interfaces, customer-value calculations and repeatable integration pathways for similar commercial sites.
